Electrical Capacitance Tomography System
pico-ECT: 8/12-electrode ECT sensors with 100 fps online imaging; wired and wireless Ethernet data transmission.
pico-ECT is a compact Electrical Capacitance Tomography system from Tianjin Youyi Technology. Designed and developed by the Tianjin University Electrical Imaging research group and refined over years of user feedback, it meets the practical needs of industrial multiphase-flow measurement. The FPGA/SoPC hardware platform supports wired and wireless Ethernet data transmission, enabling remote image reconstruction and display.

Overview
A reliable choice for industrial multiphase flow measurement
pico-ECT uses an FPGA/SoPC hardware architecture with Ethernet data transmission in both wired and wireless modes. In wireless mode, once the system is connected to a router, any computer on the same network can run the imaging software for online reconstruction; with a public IP, remote acquisition and reconstruction are possible regardless of distance. The measurement is non-contact, supports real-time recording and playback, and exports .bin / .csv files for post-processing in Excel, MATLAB or Python.
-
Cost-effective
Significantly lower acquisition cost than comparable imported systems with no performance compromise — well suited for research budgets and industrial bulk procurement.
-
Shorter lead time
Standard configurations typically ship within 10-20 working days, reducing wait time for research projects and production-line deployments.
-
Remote data transmission
Wired and wireless Ethernet; remote reconstruction and display via public IP, with no distance limitation.
-
Long-term field validation
Designed by the Tianjin University Electrical Imaging research group; iterated over many years and proven through long-term reliability tests across multiple industrial sites.
